Fulvic acid is created by microbes breaking down decomposing plants in soil. Fulvic acid typically has 70 or more minerals and trace elements as part of its molecular structure. They are in an ideal form to be absorbed by plant roots and other living cells. Fulvic acid also lowers the surface tension of water, and increases the solubility of inorganic materials by chelating them, allowing them to penetrate cells 20 times better than with water alone. When combined with ionic minerals, it allows the minerals to be much better absorbed and utilized by the body.
Fulvic acid assists with human enzyme production, hormone structures, and the utilization of vitamins. It is essential to living cells in carrying on metabolic processes. It maintains the ideal environment for dissolved mineral complexes, elements, and cells to bio-react electrically with one another causing electron transfer, catalytic reactions, and transmutations into new minerals (see Louis Kervran's work on biological transmutation). Fulvic acid is also a very powerful anti-oxidant and free radical scavenger. Minerals can come in various forms that are assimilated more or less well by the body depending on the form. Minerals from plants and animal tissue have been metabolized by those organisms and are easily assimilated when eaten. Minerals in these forms are bound to carbon atoms and are therefore referred to as organic minerals. Through enzyme and microbe action during digestion and cellular metabolism, these organic minerals are easily broken down into small particle sizes composed of just a few atoms, or single atoms, known as angstrom or monatomic minerals respectively. When these small particles have electrical charge they are known as ions. At a cellular level, the human body is designed to utilize minerals in these charged ionic forms with angstrom or monatomic particle sizes.
Minerals in rock form or dissolved in drinking water are not bound to carbon atoms and are known as inorganic minerals. The particle sizes of these minerals can range from large rocks to finely ground powders to angstrom and monatomic ionic forms in water.
The body is designed to break down inorganic minerals to a certain extent by using stomach acid. Minerals passing through the stomach have about an hour to be broken down into ionic form. The larger the particle size, the less of the mineral will be broken down. So if you eat a rock, you're only going to assimilate a small bit of minerals before the rock is passed on through the digestive tract and out of the body. Very finely ground rock powders will be digested a bit more, but most of that will pass through the body. Macroscopic minerals dissolved in water will also mostly pass through the body due not only to particle size, but also because water dilutes stomach acid. Only ionic minerals, whether from organic or inorganic sources, are fully metabolized.
