The SoloStar II is Ken Rohla's second choice for a household juicer, more affordable than Ken's favorite, the Omega VERT 330HD juicer. See the video below for information on these and other juicers, including actual jucing time. While this juicer is about $100 less than the Omega VERT, it takes about two or three times as long to juice a given amount of produce compared to the Omega VERT, and it takes up about twice as much counter space. However, for those who just cannot afford the VERT, we offer this juicer, which is a solid choice that juices anything well (including wheatgrass, greens, and soft produce), and like the Omega VERT, it extracts about 25% more than other juicers under $1,000, including more expensive models made by Tribest. The pulp ejected by the SoloStar II is dryer than that from other juicers except the Omega VERT, which means you get more juice out of your produce. That translates into a lot of money saved over time if you juice regularly. Ken Rohla spends about $75 per week on juicing, and if 25% of that is going out with the compost, that is about $975 wasted each year!The SoloStar II's extremely slow 80 RPM rotation speed ensures that juice extracted is of the highest quality, and of the best flavor, with no heating of the juice.
