BIOGRAPHY

About President and Founder, Ken Rohla

I'm Ken Rohla, president and founder of Fresh and Alive! I was not raised on sprouts by a couple of hippies. Rather, for 32 years I ate the typical American diet full of processed and fast food, loads of sweets and refined sugar, and tons of dairy and low quality meat. (Can you say liver mush?) My father was an alcoholic and passed hypoglycemia on to me. When all this finally caught up to me at the age of 32, I had been working in hospitals and state health care administration for 15 years. I saw the conventional medical system's failures to heal degenerative diseases and experienced it myself. I had severe hypoglycemia which was slowly crumbling my life and my relationships. I was told by a psychiatrist that I needed $200 an hour psych treatments. MDs said I needed drugs for the rest of my life, and even a renowned nutritionist told me I couldn't cure hypoglycemia. I rejected their "expert" opinions and cured myself anyway, naturally. It took me many years and a lot of trial and error, but I learned how to do it and learned from some very gifted healers along the way, such as Gabriel Cousens, Brian and Anna Maria Clement, Viktoras Kulvinskas, David Wolfe, Brenda Cobb, Dean Martens, Dr. Robert Morse, Dr. Michael Epitropoulos, Linda Sheer, and many others.

The good news is, nowadays there is a lot of info available on natural healing, more and more every day. The bad news is, there is a lot of incorrect, unfounded, and dogmatic, parroted information, most well-intentioned. I've tried a lot of it and found what really works, and what doesn't — what's practical and what isn't, and I can show you so you don't have to spend all the years and many thousands of dollars that I did. I don't just parrot the raw food dogma that abounds in books, media, and the internet. I seek out the best natural healers in the world with proven track records and learn from them. I constantly research better solutions, from ancient esoteric knowledge to modern cutting edge science, and try all of them myself and with others to separate the hype from reality. I live everything I teach and I will not recommend or sell any idea or product that I have not personally found to be effective. In 2005 I received certification as a natural health educator from Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida and am now a guest lecturer there. In 2006, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to help Coretta Scott King, wife of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., before she passed in February, 2006.

Natural healing and health does not have to be expensive or complicated. I've found that the simplest techniques are usually the most effective, and often the hardest to do. I believe the best healing comes from nature. There is a perfection in nature that man cannot duplicate or outdo. I know and have helped many people now who have used these methods to heal themselves of cancers, hypoglycemia, diabetes, arthritis, tumors, high blood pressure, allergies, candida and yeast infections, addictions (sugar, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and sex), depression, migraine headaches, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, obesity, and more.

I began on this lifestyle myself in 1993, and started this company quite unexpectedly in 2003, after 5 years as a professional potter and 23 years as a computer professional, 15 years of that spent in the conventional medical system. For years, friends and acquaintances asked me to teach them what I had learned, until I finally taught a workshop in my kitchen in the Spring of 2003. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and my phone began to ring with requests for more workshops. It has blossomed from there, and I thank all those who have inspired me to share what I have learned.

Much success on your journey to health!
